![]() I have checked the port and radio settings and I'm using the settings specified in the AOR User Manual which says 9600 or 19200, Data 8 bit, Stop 2, parity none and Flow is xon/xoff. The radio does display the dot in a circle icon on the screen, so I know it sees the connection, but each of the software fail to connect or come up with a Communication time out error. So far, I have tried Ar86ctrl, AOR Toolkit and AOR Workshop software and each of them fail to read from the AOR Memory Banks. So far, I have narrowed down a faulty USB-RS232 cable and have tried a different cable which works with BcTool / Bearcat, so I know its now not the cable.īoth cables have Prolific chipsets in them and I know how problematic some Prolific cables can be. ![]() Have be trying to help a friend out (who is not new to radios, but new to computers) who wants to be able to connect to and program his AOR 8600 mk II. Just posted this before, but it didn't post for some reason, so apologies for duplication if you find two posts the same.
